In 2005, the deadliest hurricane happened in America. It was named Hurricane Katrina. Hurricane Katrina damaged many buildings and lives. The storm was the most deadliest and costliest storm ever to happen to America. It killed over 1,500 people and cost about $100 billion to rebuild. We are still rebuilding to this day. Today, scientists are working on ways to make sure that a hurricane like that won’t ever happen again but it hasn’t gone great so far.
