In the novel “Monster” written by Walter Dean Myers explains a life through the eyes of a 16 year old boy named Steve Harmon in which he is on trial with James King for the murder of Mr. Nesbitt. The novel is written throughout the movie script of Steve Harmon. Myers demonstrates a common theme throughout out the story of the pain, punishment, joy, and hope. For every little action, the rest of one's future could be affected.
The book I chose to read was “The Glass Castle” by Jeanette Walls. “The Glass Castle” was memorable because it gave me an idea about the diversity of each person. The story was told through the perspective of a young girl who does not understand right from wrong because she believes what her father tells her. I think this book is popular because it expressed ideas that are typically thought of as wrong or ideas that many turn away from. The author included outstanding imagery that puts the reader into the shoes of the main character.
The novel Monster, by Walter Deann Myers, talks about the story of two young men put on trial for the murder of Alguinaldo Nesbitt. Twenty two year old James King and sixteen year old Steve Harmon are put on trial for the crime that ended Alguinaldo Nesbitt life. Alguinaldo Nesbitt was shot with his own gun while working at his own drugstore. Lorelle Henry testifies king was at the store the day of Mr. Nesbitt death, Bobo Evans testifies that King shot Mr. Nesbitt with a chrome, and lastly Osvaldo Cruz testifies that him and King planned and did this get over. On the other hand Dorothy Moore gives king an alibi.

In The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls, Rose Mary is the mother of the Walls children who often does not act as a true adult. Rose Mary’s attitudes and behaviours are childlike, and therefore her children must take on responsibility for the lack her own. Rose Mary ignores her obligations as a parent and chooses an irresponsible way of life which endangers her children. Rose Mary has never properly matured into adulthood due to her lack of financial stability, bliss ignorance and optimism, and her selfishness nature.

The book, The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls, is a memoir that tells the story of Jeannette’s difficult family and her poor living conditions, that cause life to be difficult for her. She struggles to move past all the hardships in life and she learns how to overcome the majority of them, so she can develop into her own person. Even though her family can be a little peculiar, they possess a strong bond with each other and they always seek to help one another out.
At first, the beast is nothing more than a product of the boys ' imaginations. The smaller boys are afraid of things they see at night; rather than be blindly afraid of The Great Unknown, they give their fear a name and a shape in their minds. The boys fear the beast not even realizing that the are committing the evil actions of the beast. Only Simon reaches the final realization of what the beast for what it truly is, their own evil existing inside of them when he says “Maybe there is a beast… maybe it 's only us.”.
While reading The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls, the relationship between Rex and Rose Mary walls and their children became to be very intriguing. Specifically how they raised their kids without holding anything back, an idea reinforced by a famous Walt Disney quote This quote describes how “trying to shield” children ) from reality” wouldn’t “do them any favor.” This idea was enforced by multiple occasions from the book which include letting Jeannette cook by herself at the age of 3, even after getting serious burns from cooking, letting the kids do whatever they wanted as long as they “Used common sense”, and the incident where Rex let Jeannette go upstairs with a stranger because he knew she could defend herself. The first incident revolves around how Jeannette was allowed to cook, even after having serious burns from from cooking. ”She had to get right back on the saddle.”
Each of them asked to be some other creature”(Welker). The personification in shown by the animals complaining, talking animals isn’t what an animal usually does and thus the story has use of personification. This shows the similarities between two creation stories by two different tribes living in the same State. The Purpose of Creation Stories is to guide and teach the people.
This time spent here helped to begin to develop the creature’s mind, proving he was in fact rather intelligent. The monster knew that he was different from these people, often describing them all as beautiful. He knew they would not accept him, and yet his search for belonging and family continue to surge the novel forward. While the creature is lonely and hurting, his actions slowly become malicious.

Throughout the novel of Lord of the Flies, William Golding provides a profound insight into human nature. Golding builds on a message that all human beings have natural evil inside them. To emphasize, the innate evil is revealed when there’s lack of civilization. The boys are constantly faced with numerous fears and eventually break up into two different groups. Although the boys believe the beast lives in the jungle, Golding makes it clear that it lurks in their hearts.
What would you do if you got beat up with a shovel because you were small? Keevan, the main character from the short story “The Smallest Dragonboy” by Anne McCaffrey, would be very patient. Keevan is the smallest dragonboy and people are constantly making fun of him and hitting him for it. The only way for Keevan to gain some respect is to earn a dragon. Although faced with many challenges along the way, Keevan pushes through and it rewarded with a bronze dragon, the most valuable dragon.
