Not everyone has the privilege of becoming a Macalester student. The ones that do receive an amazing liberal arts education. I dreamed of attending a none community college school. Thanks to my learning disabilities it was never a possibility. Instead I thrived during my lone year at community college. I produced a 3.66 gpa during my writing focused school year. Proving that I deserved a shot to pursue a state college degree. With the right application reader(s) it could’ve have been a possibility. Students and former students have been placed in a similar situation. They might not have a bachelor's degree. But they do have a unique perspective on the post secondary educational system. My dream is to empower them. Ensuring that everyone gets
