In the Time of the Butterflies is a historical fiction novel written by Julia Alvarez. The book focuses on the lives of the four Mirabal sisters who were killed on November 25th, 1960 as a result of organizing against the government. Throughout the novel, the sisters are oppressed and hurt by the many men in their lives. The book takes a view that is not very tolerant of men. The men often do things that hurt the women in their lives, such as physically hurt them, cheat on them, or control them against their will.

Ambulatory Care Clinic Administrator An ambulatory care clinic administrator’s duties often include managing personnel and finances, adhering to legal and medical standards and providing direction in how best to carry out particular ambulatory services. In many cases, ambulatory services include diagnostic, infusion and nurse practitioner support in some form. Ambulatory care clinic administrators are also responsible for implementing new medical technologies as they arise, particularly ambulatory EMR systems. They are also expected to reinforce compliance with medical quality standards.
There are many stakeholders involved with health care administrations. Those stakeholders can be patients, health care physician, insurance providers, pharmaceutical manufactures, hospital organizations, community clinics and government. Each different stakeholder has their own individual vision of health care administration. This causes conflict due to the nature and differences in vision. which then can cause conflicts among each stakeholder involved.

Our system, envied around the world, has given us pride and joy as many people around the world pay large amounts of money just to get the standard of care we have in Canada. Yet in recent times it has been under great controversy. Is it really effective?
Population health is a field which includes health outcomes, patterns of health determinants and policies and interventions that link these two (Kindig & Stoddart, 2003). More recently, the National Academy of Medicine defined population health as an approach that treats the population as a whole (including the environmental and community contexts) as the patient (NACNEP, 2016). Allied health professionals relate to population health through the understanding of the increased demand to serve the population rather than only the individual. The three most critical areas to better serve the health of the population as allied health professionals include 1) viewing the population’s health as a whole, versus as individuals, 2) to emphasize the need to practice quality improvement and patient safety in all instances when a medical decision is made, and 3) take into consideration all sub-populations when judging the health of an entire population. To shift from individual patient care, based on active symptoms, is the current practice of most healthcare professionals.
Physicians and Hospitals go hand in hand when it comes to the medical care of patients, and it is this relationship that allows the patients to receive the care they need and deserve. It is also this relationship that we as health care administrators need to understand. In order to fully understand this relationship we need to define the concept of the integrated physician model. We also need to explain the importance of clinical integration in the strategic planning process, and the dynamics of and controversies surrounding accountable care organizations and alternative approaches to the current health system. I will also explain the advantages and disadvantages for hospitals and physician’s models.
The public health model is more difficult to define than the other two models due to not everyone understands the concept of public health. The public health model is concerned with individuals’ who have problems but extends the concept of health care beyond just the normal medical treatment due to individuals problems may be linked to social issues as well (Woodside & McClam, 2015). Healthcare in the United States is in desperate need of reform. There are several rationales to further explain this proposition. As an illustration, the Declaration of Independence states our unalienable rights: life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. In other words, every individual should be entitled to healthcare as it preserves life and promotes the general welfare. The federal government should, therefore, enact a program of universal health to better protect and serve all of its citizens.
Across the United States, it is common to find nurse-managed health centers that offer accessible health care services to the people. Nurse-managed health centers are a basic necessity in healthcare because they provide affordable and deserved care to the unprivileged population, while at the same time educating and training nurse practitioners. Usually, such health care institutions are led by an advanced practice nurse and as a result, need careful and efficient management and leadership skills and models. With the role that these centers serve, there is a need for an advocacy strategy for the nurse-managed health centers as a way of overseeing their effectiveness in service delivery grow. For this assessment, I will be reflecting on what clinical governance looks like in my workplace, with a critique of the framework used within the organization. During the reflection I will discuss what pillars and principles were found, while describing my fellow team members’ understanding of clinical governance and how it is reflected in their practice. Finding the clinical governance framework for my workplace was challenging and time consuming without computer access in place of hard copy policy and procedure manuals. I found clinical governance summerised through the manuals, ensuring compliance of the 44 accreditation standards (Australian Aged Care Quality Agency, 2014) but as Knight, Kenny and Endacott (2015) discuss, while the concept is accepted, there is a gap between theory and practice, which is visual where I work. Pillars and principles such as risk management, efficiency, effectiveness, patient centric and equity are seen throughout the policies, and to analyse more specifically, clinical governance is articulated under categories, consisting of “education and training, clinical audit, clinical effectiveness, research and development and role clarity” (Davies, Chapman & Boyd, 2015 p.45).
Being a Health Administrator over a facility means being in charge of so many people including workers and patients. Healthcare setting-unlike business setting-is a more complicated system that consists of different professional teams and departments that usually don’t share the same objectives or planning strategies due to the diversity in the services provided.
