Executive service contracts can be controversial and some say they have no prevalence in today’s marketplace. Although, historical events, such as Enron, and the housing collapse where the United States had to bailout the world’s top financial institutions; and CEO’s were paid top dollar to resign their post. These types of scandals and intentional neglect are some of the reasons why executive service contracts exist today and remain prevalent, despite the naysayers. The problem and point of contention is that there are massive negative implications for not instituting service contracts amid mid-to-senior level executives. Furthermore, service contracts implemented must implore the organization’s immediate needs, future growth potential
