GNH according to Adelman, 1989 is a “multi-dimensional development approach that seeks to achieve a harmonious balance between material well-being and the spiritual, emotional and cultural needs of our society.” GNHC (Gross National Happiness Commission) is the Central Planning agency of the Government that identifies and recommends priorities, allocation of resources, setting of targets, and co-ordinates, monitors and evaluates policies and programs. Bhutan is a developing nation with a small growing business economy. While traditional industries are strong in Bhutan, there is much competition from outside market forces.
