In 2016, the candidates running for president are Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump, Jill Stein and Gary Johnson. One of the major issues our nation is facing has to do with United States troops fighting ISIS and torture/enhanced interrogation. “ISIS has a different kind of fighting, killing dozens of families and public executions and others”(“CNN.”). “In the U.S., the Navy Seals have been handling these terrorists with waterboarding, but have dropped it because of members not being able to survive” (“HowStuffWorks.”). He thinks the U.S. needs to go attack ISIS since we're already in Iraq. He said we should not go to Iraq but now since we're over there we need to get there oil and bring it back to the U.S. If we get there oil they won't have any of it and there rage won't last for very long. Trump wants to take 30,000 American soldiers to not only get their oil but to go and capture the Islamic killers. ISIS is capturing families because of religion and beheading and killing them. Trump believes that this plan will take ISIS down and get the Americans what they need. It will also help countries around the world that have been affected by ISIS. George Stephanopoulos asked Mr. Trump, “Do you think we should bring back enhanced/ interrogation like waterboarding (ProCon.org.Waterboarding)?” Trump responded with “I would bring it back, yes.” Trump wants to get our military stronger so during war we can take down the dangerous people. “ I think waterboarding is peanuts compared to what there doing to us.” He is practically saying that it is a better training than what countries overseas are doing to there military.
