When an individual finds themselves plagued by an ailment, they normally turn to Western Medicine exclusively. There is a better option available than western medicine that can be used in place of Western Medicine for conditions that are not extremely life-threatening. This alternative is known as Holistic medicine. Holistic medicine uses natural alternatives when they can be, while still including Western Medicine when it is required. Holistic Medicine treats the underlying cause of the symptoms without harmful chemicals. A specific type of Holistic Medicine is Homeopathic Medicine, this specific type is what uses teas and other remedies that some may be familiar with, it falls under the umbrella term “Holistic Medicine”. After conducting my research I now understand why the methods were effective and thought I would share these quick instances that prove Holistic Medicine to be the better option. My first experience was when I was bedridden in the hospital for Staphylococcus aureus on my femur. I was on a ridiculous amount of antibiotics which were being injected into me via IV. To reduce the chance of blood clots, the IV was replaced and moved to the opposite arm, except once the new IV was in place, there was now a small staph infection on my skin due to improper handling when replacing the IV. What was mind-boggling was how was I able to contract a staph infection on my arm if I was receiving so many antibiotics. My mother, luckily treated it topically with colloidal silver and the infection ceased; the staff could not figure out just how this infection disappeared, nor would my mother reveal what she used. My second personal experience involved my vestibular. Due to the crippling dosage of specific antibiotics, I was given while in the hospital for Staphylococcus aureus, I contracted vestibular ototoxicity. Basically, the antibiotics had affected my vestibular causing issues in balance, cognition, vision, brain fog, and fatigue. We went to countless doctors seeking some kind of treatment, which resulted in no avail; they offered some over the counter prescription, but it had a list of side effects and was not guaranteed to solve my issue. We then discovered a vestibular therapy place. They used many unconventional strategies and exercises to help relieve me of my symptoms. They were successful because they stimulated my vision and balance which go hand in hand when dealing with the vestibular. This relief would never have been possible if I had complied with Western
