America has failed to be what it has always been significant for which was being the land of opportunities. Closing it’s doors to those in search of a better life because of the new immigration regulations. Immigrants are not the enemies and it has to be said in stone, they are here to increase the economy and bring culture to our society. This country has so much potential to be a great, but it hasn’t been over the last couple of months because it’s been poised with negativity and changes that has broken our immigration system. Millions and millions of families and children have been torn apart because they are being deported for being illegal immigrants in the U.S grounds. Research has shown that immigration will positively affect the workers wages and employment because while some suggest that wages will decline as supply of labor increases this is not the case with immigration (american process). Generally immigrants and Native born workers complement each other rather than compete for the same job. Native born workers tend to have a different skill set and therefore seek different jobs from time to time. If for instance there is an immigrant worker with similar set skills and are working for the same job the firms respond by finding this an opportunity to expand their business in the market. Another thing researchers have found is that legalized workers invest more in their human capital, including job training, education, and language skills making then even more productive workers and higher earnings (Economic Benefits). By moving forward with the immigration reform there would be newly legalized workers that would mean a huge increase in our tax revenues.
