Why are minorities commonly chosen as a threat to our local police force? There has been massive incarcerations of minorities. Some are even being murdered. With all of the incarcerations and killing going on, it has drawn major attention. Just in the year two-thousand and ten it was estimated that there had been seventy thousand and seven hundred eighty two (70,782) juveniles incarcerated in the U.S. This is a problem. It is resulting in inappropriate, offensive, and exceedingly obnoxious behavior from local citizens. A correctional facility is not the place for a child. It is a chance that they can become terribly engaged into miscreant behavior. Multiple behavioral scientist and psychologists go to local detention centers and study the teens. It is found that when bringing minors together, it increases the chances of them engaging in even more delinquent behavior. It was also found that gathering minorities for special treatment in youth group settings would make it more likely for them to receive higher recidivism rates. The child may even have poor outcomes and disadvantages during adulthood. Being incarcerated with adults could affect them heavily. They may experience sexual abuse. Minors are like prey to the older inmates of even guards. They think of them as easy access. Recently, a psychologist studied an inmate. He found out that one-third of today's incarcerated minks are diagnosed with depression. Depression starts to kick in a while after incarceration. Months later this same psychologist recommend inadequate mental health and confinement together makes it more possible that these teens will consider suicide or self harm. The conditions of being under confinement are horrible and can really mess with a persons mental state.
