Memphis vs Dallas Even though four hundred and fifty miles separate Memphis and Dallas, there are as many differences as there are similarities. Both Memphis and Dallas have pluses and negatives to living in them. A couple important things that are thought about when moving to one of these cities are the traffic, recreational things to do, and the cost of living. All three play important roles and directly affect the lives of those who live there.
Texas has seen many changes since the first constitution of Coahuila y Tejas was drafted in 1827. During this time Texas was still a part of Mexico, as it sought it's independence from Spain in 1821. The first constitution was built for a unicameral congress which consisted of 12 deputies. Texas was at that time considered a buffer for Mexico against many of the Native American tribes.
Gentrification is "the process of renewal and rebuilding accompanying the influx of middle-class or affluent people into deteriorating areas that often displaces poorer residents." “It is a word which gets used a lot these days in regards to certain Houston neighborhoods, especially in some Inner Loop areas that were once considered rough parts of town.” One example of gentrification in the Houston is area is Montrose, due to the fact that the neighborhood uses to not be like it is now where it’s the lesbian and gay community. As a result, the increasing diversity has a significant impact on the political culture. Currently the Native-American population is less than one-half of percent in Texas, while during the nineteen century there were at least twenty-three groups of Native-Americans.

East Austin is losing its culture and along with it, the people who created the East Austin culture.

I was born and raised in southeast Houston and still live there till this day. Thankfully, I grew up on the good side of town and in a very good neighborhood. Houston is definitely filled with violence, gangs and shootings. You can drive to certain areas or parts of town and you automatically know this area is filled with violence and your chances of be victimized will increase. For people that live in these disorganized neighborhoods and communities, it becomes there norm.
The world is always changing rather it be technology, trends, or medicine. For a reason Americans take these changes with open arms but when it comes to gentrification the subject becomes controversial. Nothing ever stays constant in this world and that is because as humans we are always looking to move forward towards improvement. There are those who believe the idea of gentrification is horrible ruining family orientated businesses and creating a loss of culture. So, if people are open to change, why not allow the change to improve cities?

First, you are around everything your family needs. You can go to stores and other locations very quickly. Also, neighborhoods are very friendly. Other people feel welcomed when they come into suburban neighborhoods because the people around them are affable. When I was 14 I had to move to San Clemente, California. I had already recently moved temporarily to Texas while a house was made ready for us on the military base. “The house is ready!” my mother had said excitedly, after being on the phone for a few minutes. “It’s time to go back?”
The biggest issue in Texas is the over population of children. Texas also has the second highest number of elementary schools due to the amount of children needing education. At this rate, the number of schools will increase and it will become more intense to fund each school. The problem with the overpopulation is that 1.7 million children live in poverty and many of them are segregated in poor neighborhoods. Along with poor neighborhoods, schools also come into play with inefficient resources for the students.
Texas is a great state to be in. At times I rather live in Texas then any other state. My allergies are bad with this Texas weather. It changes so often we never know what each day will be. I was in Colorado and New York and my breathing and allergies were fine.
