Pollution is the number one contributor to global warming and global contamination. Pollution is a substance or thing that has a harmful or poisonous effect in the environment. There are sub types of water and air pollution. Many pollutants have deadly effects in the environment. Global warming is one of the factors created by pollution and other variants. In the world there are two types of pollution and one connected outcome one type of pollution is air pollution, another is water pollution, and the outcome is global warming. “Among the most important types of water pollution are sediment, trash, and thermal changes such as global warming. Sediment and trash make up the greatest amount of visible type of water pollution in most rivers, lakes, and oceans around the world. Worldwide there is erosion from croplands, forests, and construction sites and is estimated to add over 75 billion tons of sediment each year. This sediment smothers gravel beds in which many types of aquatic animals lay their eggs” (Lee). It fills lakes and obstructs shipping channels, clogs hydroelectric turbines, and makes drinking water purification costlier. Besides air pollution, there is also water pollution which is also caused by many variants causing more health issues to drinking supplies. Today people oppose this argument by saying that water pollution is easily not harmful to the environment. This is not true because today because many countries have water problems due to low water sources caused by trash and erosion. Air pollution is the most dangerous type of pollution today which has secondary effects just like global warming. Water pollution on the other hand is a harmful effect like air pollution but not as grave. Both types of pollution have effects that are more harmful than the other. Global warming is the most famous effect that pollution plays a huge role in. There are non-believers in pollution and in global warming creating just conspiracies and no actual facts.
