The world is changing everyday but how can we help the world to become a better place. The best thing is to control what the courts put back on the streets. There is always talking about how a discussion was made in court because of politicians. The court system is becoming too political because of money. The main focus that the politicians and law makers focus on the most is “how can they save money for the state?” They look at cutting things like education, health care and even the courts. The reality of it all is the fact that everything can’t be cut and the court system programs aren’t one of them. The main thing that the politicians discuss is overcrowding and they ask,” how can we cut overcrowding?” The idea of probation is brought up to resolve their …show more content…

So instead of putting the criminals in prison, they put them on the streets but on probation. The issue is the fact that everyone can’t be on probation. When the courts put criminals on probation it becomes a workload problem for the probation officer. The workload becomes an even bigger problem when there are road blocks to stop the program from being affective. The road blocks consist of things like low pay, low budget and safety issues. A low paying officer isn’t going to give as much attention, dedication or loyalty to the program. Low budget mean that the probation officer will not have the money to fund the program so it will not be as effective for the offender or for society. Last but not least there is the officers not only having to deal with budget cuts and low pay but they have to deal with their safety. With all of these concerns one might ask themselves, “Where did probation originate from?”Another question is, “What can probation give offenders?” What type of training or education would one need to become an officer? There are so many questions and concerns about this
