The New Deal did not benefited the U.S.in the long term. The New Deal was created between 1933 and 1938 by Franklin Roosevelt. He created the New Deal for people that were unemployed. The New Deal provided old-age insurances and unemployment benefits. It was also was supposed to help the families that dependent children and for people that were disabled.
The programs created by the New Deal satisfied the needs of citizens, even though several thought Roosevelt was overstepping his power. Roosevelt’s administration was not very effective in ending the Great Depression, however, some of the programs did help relieve
The First New Deal was a program consisting of many new laws and programs with the goal of saving the country and its people from the Great Depression. President Franklin Delano Roosevelt spearheaded the First New Deal. His goals were to reduce unemployment, to help poor farmers, and to revive American industry. The First New Deal worked towards achieving these goals, by establishing laws and programs which regulated industry and provided work relief programs. The two that greatly bettered the people the most was because of the Fireside Chats that President Roosevelt gave and because of the hot lunches that he made possible for schoolchildren suffering from not being healthy.
The New Deal was successful in many ways but it also failed in many ways. In my opinion the New Deal was a success because it restored faith in the government, created million of jobs, set the tone for the future, and strengthened labor unions. President Roosevelt made people feel very comfortable and many felt as they personally knew him. He was pretty chill and people trusted him and his ideas for the most part. Though this time America learned something, not taking money for granted because you never know when you could lose everything you own. There were many problems that came with the depression, social effects, suicide, unemployment, loss of jobs, loss of houses, loss of land and businesses.
