In this United States today we have a system known as the presidential system. This is because our head of government is also the head of and controls the different branches. This system allows us to vote on a president through polls so the citizens get who they want. Under this system we also have the power to impeach an individual in office if they are not meeting our standards or what they promised to do. Different countries have found different systems to work better, with the United States having a presidential system is gives the president more authority which could come in great hand if the president uses it correctly in his four year term. The presidential systems pros would be like what was said above. It is a system that allows the people to elect who they want in office. This also gives this person more power and more authority because they were elected by the people, they then try to give the people what they want. Another pro of this system is that the position is a fixed term usually. Such as our current president, he will be in office until his four years are over unless he gets impeached and then he will be out of office. Speed and decisiveness is also another perk of this system. The president in this system have stronger constitutional powers which then allows them to have stronger constitutional powers allowing them to spearhead reform and enact change swiftly. “Additionally, presidential system allow for the separation of powers as the legislature is a completely different structure and institution. This allows a system of checks and balances to be created, allowing one to monitor the other” (LawTeacher, 2017). This system has many pros and seems to work very good for the United States, but this does not mean it will be good for every country that tries to use
