The Revolution War was a war that Americans are never going to forget. It’s also the war that formed and shaped America. Great Britain is another country that will never forget The Revolution War. In the beginning of the war, Great Britain went in believing that this was going to be a fast and easy win. They believe that a great powerful country like them couldn’t possibly lose to a small group of colonies. Money wasn’t an issue for Great Britain, coming up with funds wasn’t a problem. That’s why most of the funds was used to hire Mercenaries. Great Britain wasn’t alone in this war, Great Britain hired Mercenaries as well as professional soldiers from Germany called Hessians. The American Revolution article states that “Most Indian tribes sided with Great Britain, Britain promised protection of tribal lands” (US History). That’s right Great Britain had the help of the Native Americans. The colonists started taking the Native Americans land and the Native believe if Great Britain won, they would get their land back and the colonists would leave. Great Britain had help during this war, Great Britain had the Mercenaries and the Hessians along with the Native Americans, but it also had helped from the colonists. Most of the colonist were still loyal to Great Britain, those were the loyalist. They did whatever they could to help Great Britain. That advantage is that the country that’s being invaded knows the territory. The country that’s being invaded knows the terrain, while the other has no clue and is automatically at a disadvantage. This is what happen to Great Britain, Great Britain troops are unfamiliar with America terrain. The commanders don’t have a clue upon what’s over that hill, they don’t know what’s hiding in those trees. The commanders tried to fight on wide flat opens land, but the Americans knew better and would hide in the forest or stay up hill.
