The United States presidential election is extremely important for all citizens and even immigrants. We have two main candidates running for the 2016 election, the Republicans have Donald Trump , and the Democrats have Hillary Clinton. When considering who one wants to elect we must be educated and aware of policies and a variety of issues, such as immigration, the candidate may want to change if elected into office. Changes will affect society in good ways and also bad.

Trump’s immigration plan is based on three principles: that the United States must build a wall across the U.S.-Mexico border, that immigration laws must be fully enforced, and that “any immigration plan must improve jobs, wages and security for all Americans.”He also calls for suspending the issuance of any new green cards, writing, “there will be a pause where employers will have to hire from the domestic pool of unemployed immigrant and native workers.”While Trump has called for deporting all of the undocumented immigrants in the …show more content…

This affects the pros and cons that people have to face if Trump is elected president. There are several pros that will help the United States financially , employment wise, and legally. Immigrants increase cost to provide education, medical service, and law enforcement, because of the increase in population, the wall will help manage the population. The wall will reduce the amount of low skill immigrants that are driving wages down, taking jobs from United States citizens. Another great factor of the was is we can reduce incoming illegal drugs into our country. With that being said the wall also has its downsides. One of the biggest problems with the wall is how much it would cost to build. Also the amount of land the wall would take up, this may beckon an unwanted burden on landowners.
