As Carl Jung once stated, “The healthy man does not torture others — generally it is the tortured who turn into torturers.” For every “healthy man”, there is at least one or more unhealthy men who are evil and wicked by nature. Torture is a popular tactic that groups of people will use to instill fear in the population. Humanity has been cruel since the beginning of time as evidenced by the fact that torture predates 2100 B.C. In most cases, torture will be very inhumane and absurdly brutal. Some groups of people exemplify the fact that humanity can and will be repeatedly cruel when given the chance.

Those people tend to believe that ISIS fighters are listening to their superiors or that they are being faithful to their jihadist religion. To say that is to say that the soldiers who committed malicious crimes against humanity under Hitler during World War Two should not be held accountable because they were listening to orders from their superiors. Everybody who is involved with ISIS is equally inhumane and guilty as their highest leader. All members of ISIS should be treated as the fighters who are able to cruelly torture and kill innocent citizens from their own
