“Though you think you can do it alone, sometimes you need a helping hand.” The protagonist in the story “To build a fire” was warned not to travel by himself and then he did. Though he thought that himself and his dog could get through it by themselves and they didn't need help, the man should have stopped and taken the times sooner to build a fire. It was below -75 degrees and nothing was going to stop him... until he thought he was going to get frostbite and he finally made a fire.
