According to UNICEF, in Africa only 83 girls are in school for every 100 boys. This is an important problem because everyone deserves the right to an education especially women, who are often barred from this extremely important human right. Education is a basic right because every human deserves to have the ability to expand their minds and help create a better world to live in. Not having schools or a safe place to get an education takes away from the ability to create a better future for yourself and the generations to come. Tanzania has one of the poorest education systems in all of Africa, leaving countless adults and children without a suitable education or any education at all. This organization takes donations to aid their development of education in East Africa, focusing specifically in Tanzania which makes it better than the first solution. ASAP also focuses on other issues besides education. their work targets poverty reduction, gender equality, immunization HIV/AIDS prevention and much more. So far ASAP has developed schools that serve over 2,000 students, according to their website. Their primary schools are also among the best in their districts and and their recent graduations are all at 100%. All in all, The work of ASAP is truly an incredible cause. They improve the quality of life for so many people by granting them opportunities they would never have had otherwise and giving them the chance to take their lives in a new direction: away from poverty and abuse. Imagine losing everything we take for granted today. The basic privilege of school, a home to live in, food, transportation, and much more. Now imagine how you would feel if one day someone gave it all back to you, simply because they wanted to help.
