Through December 1777 to June 1778, George Washington led the Continental Army through winter camp. The Continental Army was an army of Patriot soldiers who fought against Britain. The Patriots hated Britain for their taxes and laws. So they went off to war. There was just one problem, they did not know how bad the conditions were going to be.
Being in the snow isn’t always fun. It is January 1, 1778 and I have been serving my term at Valley Forge. I have been very miserable which has made my experience here dreadful. I’ve finished my time as a soldier but I have the option to re-enlist or come back home.

The article describes how the good intentions and actions, such as camps and free resources (toilet paper, showers, etc.) only enable and prevent the homeless from a desire to move. Logos helps to develop the claim.
In recent years, the Long Beach homeless population has unfortunately increased. This includes an increase of children living in tents, cars and homeless encampments. By working together, the city, state, and federal governments can enact policies and programs that will more effectively serve homeless people. Although current policies are already in place, the laws and regulations can be re-defined to include more affordable housing and services. Everyone has to keep in mind the homeless people don’t always choose homelessness it is often a forced situation.
In 2014, at the end date of the goals point-in-time count showed that there were still 49,933 homeless veterans, which is a 33% drop in the population since the start of the action plan. Yet today there is still a huge population left on the streets. However, since 2009, the program as sheltered close to 200,000 veterans (O’Toole), but many still lack permanent housing. Federal funding to house homeless people must at least have some level of priority to veterans and those who fight for our country, rather than a pooling and housing people who were homeless because they spent too much on drugs or those who never contributed to society. Next, the mental health, as well as physical, must be taken into account to make sure everyone is being treated and cared for adequately.
Homeless youth are always dealing with poor nutrition, victimization, substance use, and abuse. Unfortunately the services provided are very limited and cannot help a huge chunk of the homeless youth. Homeless youth experience more substance abuse and drug addiction than non-homeless youth, this causes them to be mentally unstable and unable to be a functioning member of society. There are many temporary services provided such as shelters, drop-ins, meal programs, literacy improvements, and counselling programs; although these are available and there to help the youth, they are all flawed in their own ways. What the government does not take into consideration is the long term solutions to put youth in poverty to an end.
In the past few years, there has been many homeless camps lately that has been building up with families that the government either had swept up or get rid of trying to hide them from society. The government main goal of getting them into permanent housing really will not solve anything. Like our homeless for the most parts do suffer trauma and that is what they know so far but in the inside, many of the homeless like living where they are, they

The issues that face today’s generation are unique to the pressures of the times and the complexity of how we live. Homelessness is at an all-time high in our country today and it is a situation that effects people world-wide. Being homeless is when you do not have a permanent place to live.

The government and its policies/bans only harm the homeless instead of being beneficial to them. With the “City wide bans on camping in public have increased [along with the]… city wide bans on sleeping in public…, sitting or lying down in particular places… [and,] bands on sleeping in vehicles have [all] increased”(Wiltz).
The issue of homelessness in America has been evident since the early 1600’s. Across the country men, women and children spend their nights on the streets not knowing when or if they will ever find a permanent home. States and federal officials or city councils have tried to alleviate or at least reduce the number of homeless over the last several decades at a city, state or national level but it continues to be an ongoing problem. There is a multitude of factors that account for the growing homeless population that affects each state in the country differently. Though there are many contributing factors that contribute to the amount of people living on the street at any given night in the U.S.
Increase the number of the free clinics that will provide some health issue. Homeless population are at risk for chronic illness making them vulnerable to volience and substance abuse. This population has limited access to resources; difficulty in essentials of daily living: food, clothing, shelter. Often these individual has an underlining mental health issues or substance abuse problems. They do not have support outside their homeless community.
People should not just give the homeless the silent treatment and keep on walking like nothing is wrong. In order for the homeless problem to stop, we “the people” must make it end by helping the less fortunate get to shelters or to some other source of help. The major problems of homelessness
In the current healthcare system, attempts to provide adequate care for the homeless are frustrating for patients and care providers. The homeless population is anything, but stable, and their lifestyle promotes illness and disease, not health.
