I will be evaluating my novel so far by describing what hazel does when a little girl comes up to her, what Hazel and her friend do at the mall, and what Hazel and Augustus do the next time they hung out. Hazel’s friend Katelyn invited her to the mall to hang out. Katelyn likes to plan things to the precise minute so she asked Hazel to meet her at the mall in the food court at exactly 1:22 p.m. When Hazel was waiting there for Katelyn a little girl stopped and walked over to Hazel. She asked what the thing in her nose was so Hazel answered saying that its there to help her breath better. The little girl asked if it would help her breath better too so Hazel took it off and put it on the girl. The girl said it helps her breath and then Hazel said that she needs it back because she needs to breath. At this point Hazel was feeling like she was running out of air so she quickly put it back on and felt a lot better. Later, the little girl and her mom left. At 1:22 p.m. Katelyn arrived at the mall and met up with Hazel. The girls sat at a table for a while and just talked about random girl stuff and about boys. Hazel’s mom sat at a different table to make sure she was alright. After talking for a little while the girls went walking around the mall to shop. The last time they hung out they watched a movie called V for Vendetta. This time they hung out they talked about the books they gave each other. Hazel thought that the book Augustus gave her was really interesting. Being that she thought that she went to the library and got the sequel to the book. Augustus right away said that he hated the way they ended the book. Hazel laughed at that and said she knew he was going to hate that part. He also said that other than the ending he loved it. After they talked about their books they just hung out and talked about random
