Knowledge is information and skills acquired by a person through experience or education. Books and schools are a way to receive knowledge everyday. In Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, he create a society that lives without books or some sort of education to show the effects that technology can have on our lives. Technology can be a wonderful thing and can lead solutions for life threatening moments, but it can serve as a distraction from real world problems. In this society, technology distracts the citizens with false realities and knowledge is destroyed along with the books. In the novel, students are watching more tv than learning about history or english because education can lead to different ideas and conflict. “The bigger your market, Montag, the less you handle controversy, remember that” (Bradbury 55).
