Have you ever wondered how life was like when schools were only for the privilege and Kings still ruled over cities. Well Romeo and Juliet tells of just that. In the story a man and a woman meet and instantly fall in love, but both of their families are in a fued which causes plenty of bloodshed and ultimately the death of the two lovers, now the question is who is to blame for the blood loss and tears shed for them? The first thing that came to mind was the feud between the two families.

Although Shakespeare was not a teenager when he wrote the story, he seems to have a good understanding of the adolescent brain, and how it is constantly growing and developing. Nowadays, there are many studies that have been done to find out how the teenage brain works, but Romeo and Juliet shows that Shakespeare was ahead of his time in his knowledge of how teenagers think and act.
Responsibility means our ability to make a decision that satisfy ourselves and others, and to take the consequences for the action. When people hear the word “responsibility”, most people associated it with the word, blame. When something happens, people would say “Whose responsibility is this?”. In the book, Romeo and Juliet, Friar Laurence and the Nurse are trying to help Romeo and Juliet get married, unfortunately they both suicide in the end and I believe that Friar Laurence and the Nurse are responsible for their death.
There are multiple examples of the adults in the book Romeo and Juliet being bad examples. Capulet is one of the characters in the play that is a bad example for the kids. You see this in the book when he told Juliet he has to marry paris. Juliet told him how she felt about marrying Paris and said how she likes Romeo more.

According to a nationwide survey, 16% of high schoolers have seriously considered committing suicide, 13% of them formed a plan on how they would complete the task, and about 8% of those students followed through. The story Romeo and Juliet may seem like love story between two star crossed lovers, but in reality it was about two unstable teenagers dealing with mental disorders that contributed to the resolution of the story, them both taking their own lives. Most people believe that Romeo and Juliet committed suicide because they were destined to die, but on the contrary, Juliet really committed suicide, because she was going through major depression,
Teenage behavior has not changed in over five hundred years. The behaviors portrayed in Romeo and Juliet, by William Shakespeare are very similar to the behaviors of the average teenager today. The teenage brain takes years to become fully developed which is why teens make impulsive decisions, express new emotions, and have rebellious behaviors as shown in Romeo and Juliet. Teenagers are impulsive when making decisions because of the unawareness of consequences that their decisions could result in.
When you are in love someone you really don’t know what you are doing until you stop and think about what it really was you are feeling. People over think when they are in a relationship instead of them they think of the other person. When you are in a relationship with someone you have to have a good minded that’s why these teenagers are not good to be together. We girls always trust the wrong guy first then we trust the right guy then if we know we should leave we still stay. It is so relatable till date because people fall in love now as Romeo and Juliet did, families fight, as the Montagues and Capulets did. We can relate to each character in some. Which is what makes this play so compelling and lets it live, five hundred years later. Romeo and Juliet is a tragic tale of two lovers, separated by an epic feud of their two houses (Romeo a Montague and Juliet a Capulet.)
