" The Negative effects of" the Roman Conquest Alright so the first few things that I think are negative effects of the Roman conquest are really just negative effects of war things that happen every time man decided to fight. For example the economy often takes a hit during times of war it takes man power that obvious ,but it also takes money,food,water , and other basic human needs. That often become inflated during times of war due to the fact that these things become more in demand when everything starts going to hell in a hand basket. Also then there is the matter of weapons you can not fight wars with out them , this causes people to mine raw material to make new ones or to repair old one . Or maybe it is as simple as the military buying large orders of swords 100 swords is expensive enough before war brought on inflation, but after it's all gone down those hundred swords at least double …show more content…

This adds cost in both labor,food,material and time and this would have to be repeated a couple thousand times minimum to equip and entire army. And again it would be the average citizen who would have to pay for all of this which will put a strain on the economy as well as the relations between the upper class and the lower class . Now another negative effect of Romes conquests , was the emotional state of war it wears on people makes them feel heavy changes the way they may have thought about war . It also often strains relationships between particular groups because like with Rome the Plebes often fought the wars why the Patricians set back and did not take an participate in the war.
