Home is a place where you love, not the place that you live. Maria was a postulant who was sent on a mission to be a nanny for the Vonn Trapp Family. While she was there, Maria realized that her home was with the Vonn Trapp's, but not with the nuns. Naomi moved to Jerusalem, where she felt overwhelmed by the difference of customs and beliefs in Jerusalem than America. When Naomi finally moved back, she felt like her home was the one place she never thought it would be: Jerusalem. Both Maria and Naomi ran away from the place they moved to, only to realize that those places were their homes. Maria and Naomi both moved to places they didn't think they would like. When Maria was sent to the Vonn Trapp house, she was scared by the fact that there were seven kids and a really strict dad. Although at first she was scared and uncomfortable with the strict rules and the stories of the children's pranks. Similarly, Naomi felt scared and uncomfortable the entire time she was in Jerusalem.
