Many young girls dream of becoming Hollywood actresses. They want a glamorous and exciting lifestyle, but what they don’t realize is how many personal challenges actresses must face. Evelyn Hugo from the book “The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo” and Anna Scott from the film “Notting Hill” are both famous actresses who have faced many challenges and have made many sacrifices to be in the place that they are now. But what personal challenges did they have to face and how similar were they?

She wanted to have a normal life and was tired of being in the public eye. Throughout the movie, Anna Sets her priorities straight and decides to be with the person that she loves, after a series of unhealthy and abusive relationships. This is in contrast to Evelyn, who didn’t have the courage to break social norms in order to be with the person she loved.

Even though Evelyn and Anna were actresses in different time periods, they shared many of the same struggles. Because they were both celebrities, every person they dated, every mistake that they made and every struggle they went through was written about in the news as if it was entertainment. On top of constantly being judged by their actions, they were judged by their looks.
