It all started on April 12, 2015 in Baltimore Maryland, when a 25 year old African American man Freddie Gray was arrested by a policeman. Freddie Gray was a Baltimore resident and after being arrested sustained injuries. On the date, April 18th, Freddie Gray fell into a coma and protests started outside the police station. Freddie died April 19th. He suffered neck and spine injuries in the police car which caused his death. In the following paragraphs I will talk about what happened after his death and all about what's happening in Baltimore. Who was involved? There were many different things that happened in the city of Baltimore a few are obviously the injures Freddie Gray suffered that led up to his death this was one of the most important events leading up to what happened. But that wasn't the only thing there was more. Freddie Gray's death led up to many protests as I said before some violent others not violent. A few other events led up to even more events, for example on May 1st Mr.Gray's death was ruled homicide. The 6 officers that were involved were issued legal charges including second degree murder. There was one very interesting case on TV which showed a mother who had seen her son on the streets rioting she repeatedly struck her son and told him she didn't want him ending up like Freddie Gray she also told him not to seek justice by rioting. All the riots and events even led up to the Governor of Maryland moving his office from Annapolis to Baltimore the governor said he would visit scenes around Baltimore. This began April 19th when Freddie Gray died. This continued on April 23rd it was the sixth night people protested this continued in Baltimore streets. Two people were arrested this date. According to the Baltimore Police, all the protesters left were peaceful. On April 25, people organized protests in downtown Baltimore. These people marched threw the city. After their final stage of the event, the people became violent and damaged at least five police vehicles. On April 27 they helps a service for Freddie Gray. On April 28, Baltimore television showed the the firefighters putting out fires. Mostly African-American citizens, cleaned up after the the rioting. From the dates April 29 through May 3 after the riots, there were over 200 small businesses that were unable to reopen by April 29. More things happened after this time for example a curfew was set on the city as I said before. Where did this happen? This happened throughout that city of Baltimore where most riots took place. Riots also took place near the police stations in Baltimore. Also throughout the Baltimore city hall where protests took place. The protests ended in Inner Harbor. There were many other location where the riots and events took place. A couple more locations were Camden Yards where to baseball team plays this game was cancelled and then played with no fans the public couldn't attend the game for civil reasons.
