The Evolution of the Articles of Confederation to the Constitution The Articles of Confederation went into effect on March 1, 1781 and were later replaced by the Constitution on June 21, 1788. The Articles of Confederation was created in order to unite the New World states in the fight for independence from Britain. Fearing the oppression of the strong centralized British government, the Articles of Confederation was created to protect the people of the emerging United States and did not allow for a powerful central government. At the end of the American Revolution, the Articles desperately required amendment or replacement in order to promote an effective government. The major evolutionary step of the Articles of Confederation to the Constitution took place through the Great Compromise and the Three-Fifths Compromise at the Constitutional Convention in May 1787.

For most of us, we take life for granted; We forget about all the everyday things like hot food, readily available running water, and a climate controlled house, all things that we take advantage of on a daily basis. All of these things, basic necessities, that immigrants struggled to keep if they ever did gain them in the first place. For the most part Upton Sinclair portrayed the life of an average citizen who started their life as an immigrant very well. Whether it be the extremely poor working conditions people were forced to deal with, the everyday struggles that they had to confront on a daily basis, or even the political corruption that the cities were once plagued with, Sinclair’s story matches up to what actually happened in history
Marigolds that have been exposed to high amounts of Cobalt 60 have been shown to grow with severe defects. The problem did not start with the flower’s blossoming, with its nourishment, or even with the surfacing of the first sprout. Before it was even planted, it was corrupted. The very seeds of the American Dream were sewn with prejudice, and yet we ask ourselves how its malformation came to be. The American Dream burgeoned in a time of xenophobia and sexism, and thus, its petals are laced with bias and corruption.
The influence of Upton Sinclair upon our world cannot thoroughly be measured in just a few short paragraphs or even one study. Sinclair 's work for which he was most famous, The Jungle, written in 1906, was just one of many examples of one person 's ability to change the world they live in. While the topic of The Jungle was bringing to light the horrible working conditions associated with the meat industry, the work accomplished so much more. Of course people were enraged when they found out they were probably eating rat meat along with their favorite meats but they also began to see how much hardship immigrants were going through just to try and make a living in the country at the time. Sinclair didn 't just interview people to get the

This civilization trades with rocks. In other words, their money in this civilization is rocks. Rocks are valuable and the bigger the rock, the more prices it contains. On people’s free time, people dance to forget about the bad things that have happened in life.

She particularly likes a light seafoam blue shade. That’s the tint that decorates my ceiling, the blankets that cover the bed, and the curtains that are draped over my windows. She doesn’t spend a lot of time occupying me, but when she does, I often find her listening to Classical or Alternative Indie music and working diligently on some sort of project. Sumer finds delight in making art. If you look closely, you can find a splotch of yellow paint on the carpet near my window where she dropped a paintbrush on it this Summer.
She is 32 and looks like she is 20. My mom is short but mighty. She´s tan like the warm sand, and her hair is black as the night sky. Her eyes are like chocolate chips, and her beautiful smile is like seeing the sun for a long time. When we go to new places everyone says that I look like her
