In the context of the strengths and weaknesses of Democratic and Authoritarian systems, which is more appropriate for the Philippines?
For many years, the Philippine government has been a democratic republic. Filipino citizens have implemented this with the hopes of becoming liberated but it isn’t enough. An authoritarian government will be more suitable than a democratic government and beneficial for the discipline and economy of the Philippines than a democratic government.
Government
A government is a system where there is a manifestation of the doctrines of a state. It can be associated with the word “administration”. This system works when their are people who operate under the same authorities or principles.
Fair Democracy
Democracy is the fairest of them all. This is where the citizens of the state become more consented to be active in public affairs of the country or state. People as discussed by Clark (2013) have legal protection from power abuse, individual liberty and limited majority rule. This leadership style as stated by Team Work Definition (2014) is a condition where there is participative management and human resource strategies. It is beneficial in utilising local knowledge and communities according to Tim Pat (2012).
