World War I had a huge impact on the generation during that period. It weakened the traditional notions of morality, faith, and justice. They could not be able to rely on the traditional beliefs that gave life meaning anymore. People who experienced the war became mentally and morally lost, and they wandered aimlessly in a world that appeared purposeless.
