The short story “The Tell-Tale Heart”, is about a insane man and his obsession with an old man’s eye. In the story, the guy said, “He”, meaning the old man, “ had the eye of a vulture- a pale blue eye, with a film over it.” At the exact same time, he would slightly peek in the old man’s door and watch him sleep. “I was never kinder to the old man than during the whole week before I killed him. And every night, about midnight, I turned the latch, of his door and opened it-oh so gently! He watched him sleep for hours, he then went berserk and took a sheet and suffocated him until he stopped moving. “ There was no pulsation. He was stone dad. His eye will trouble me no more.” “ I then took up three planks from the flooring of the chamber, and deposited all between the scantlings.” “ There was nothing to wash out no stain of any kind no blood spot whatever.” Should the man go to prison or to a mental hospital? I think he should go to jail. Even though he is a little bit on the abnormal side, he done a crime. Murdering someone over an eye is indeed pretty abnormal, but I think he deserves to go to jail is that murdered an innocent man for no apparent reason. He killed him by suffocating him and by cutting his body parts up. The man heard a mysterious knock coming from the front door. He opened the door, and there stood three policemen. The policemen told him that there were complaints going around about some shrieking. And, they wanted to come in his love house and investigate. What could the man have to fear? The policemen investigated the whole house and found absolutely nothing. The man soon gave up, because of aloud ongoing heartbeat, and confessed of his
