Attempted Change Ends in Death
As the title goes, whenever somebody attempts change this ends in death; often by “suicide.” In this essay the book “Fahrenheit 451” by Ray Bradbury, “Brave New World” by Aldous Huxley. As well as “Fahrenheit 451” by Ramin Bahrai. Any other information that is not widely known,” for lack of better words, will be given. Any sources included are validated by multiple sources. People who try to radically change society are often killed as a result, if not killed these people often end up dead or significantly worse off.

Hugh Latimer was a reformationist in the 16th century who was burned at the stake for trying to change how the church was. J.F.K. wanted to “splinter the CIA into a thousand pieces and scatter it into the winds. (NY Times)” Martin Luther King Jr taught racial equality, the need for labor unions, anti war, anti nuclear war, as well as equal healthcare access (National Geographics). Abraham Lincoln also started a form of racial equality, as well as an investigation into the banking industry (Office of the Contempler of currency.) Malcolm X taught racial equality and that if one did not prescribe to this ideology violence was justified, and that whites should be held accountable for their actions (PBS). Mohandas “Mahatma” Gandhi was the opposite of Malcolm X and wanted a nonviolent life, he rebelled peacefully against the British and was later assassinated by Nathuram Godse (Britannica). All of this shows one major idea: to be against the status quo is a death sentence. JFK wanted to expel a powerful faction in the United States government. MLK Jr wanted racial equality which went against the cultural and economic system; this was only one piece of how he went against the system.
