Even though That conflict does not impact other people's lives that it's just an obstacle that's in the way and that you have to go around it. Conflict does impacts people's lives by if someone loses their love one it can effect on how they behave around certain people and it can change on how they think of things. Conflict does not impact people's lives because there are people when something happens they ignore it. A difference that these books had was that in the book The Things They Carried by Tim O'Brien the main character did not get to chose if he wanted to have some conflict in his life and in the book A Walk In The Woods by Bill Bryson the main characters got to choose if he wanted to have conflict or not. In the book The Things They Carried by Tim O'Brien the main character kept thinking about going back to his lover or girlfriend. Also, he kept thinking about how good his life was and how he was really smart. He also kept thinking that he was going to die because he is always surrounded by other people dyeing, so he was waiting for his time to die. So the conflict started to impact his life because his mind was set into him dyeing at one point. In the book A Walk In The Woods by Bill Bryson the main characters at the end of the book when the were hiking the hundred mile wilderness of Maine they got separated so Bryson got scared that something had happen to Katz. Bryson didn’t have any hiking skills but now he has some idea; he doesn’t have the guts to camp by himself. Also, Katz was scared that he would die from thirst and he was scared that he had lost Bryson. So the conflict started impacting his life because Katz mind set changed from being a good leader to being a bad leader. Bryson’s mind set changed by him instead of being scared all the time, he got
