In Beowulf , Beowulf had 3 different fights with monsters. The first monster he fight is Grendel, the second is Grendel mother, and the third fight is with a dragon. The fight with Grendel shows his power, the fight with Grendel mother shows his weakness and the fight with a dragon shows his death as well as the birth of a new hero. The fight with Grendel shows beowulfs power. Grendel is a demon that has killed many people and many people attempted to kill him. Grendel didn’t wear a armor and used weapons. Beowulf said that he is not gone use a weapon. He is bragging that he is stronger than anyone else during the fight, Beowulf was playing asleep, Grendel reaches down to Beowulf and Beowulf grab his arm and riped it off with his bare hands. Beowulf is attacked by Grendel’s mother and dragged toher cave. He tries to hit her with his sword but does not succeed in piercing her skin.in frustration Beowulf attacks her with his bare hands. He manges toknock down grendels mother. Grendel mother attends to fight back and end up sititng on top of Beowulf. She desperately tries to kill Beowulf, but his armor protects him from her attacks. Beoawulf spoted a sword on the wall of the cave and throws grendels mother off him and grabs the sword.beowulf finds the sword amzing. It has a very ornamented handle called a hilt and the blade is bigger than the average sword. He slice her head off . his trophy was Grendel head and hilt of a jaint
