The story of Romeo and Juliet is a timeless tragedy that begins with the feud between two households - Montague's and Capulet's. Romeo, lovesick, is prompted by Benvolio to abandon his unrequited love for Rosaline and seek out another companion. Coincidentally, that same night the Capulet's hold a masquerade ball which both Romeo and Juliet attend. Juliet is encouraged to accept the courtship of Paris, a relative of the Prince, however Juliet is not convinced. Identities masked and blind to the possibilities, the two meet their fate and fall impossibly fast for each other. Fortunately the Friar promises to publicize the wedding to gain pardon for Romeo. The very next morning chaos ensues as Juliet discovers her arranged marriage with Paris is to take place on Thursday. Juliet, stressed about the upcoming false marriage and grieving Romeo's disappearance calls upon the Friar for help. He offers her a sleeping draughts said to make her appear dead for 42 hours and so when she wakes Romeo will have returned from hiding in Mantua. She accepts. The wedding is moved forward one day which forces Juliet to take the potion a day early. She drinks it that night and reduces the time for Romeo to receive the Friar's message. Wednesday morning, Juliet's lifeless body is found and placed in the family tomb. Due to a plague in Verona, the Friar's message never made it to Romeo however news of Juliet's death did reach the young Montague's ears. He acquires a poison and races to Verona. Upon entering the tomb he finds Paris who he slaughters, still unaware about Juliet being alive. Romeo takes the poison and dies. The Friar arrives to warn Romeo but finds his lifeless body next to a stirring Juliet. Juliet stabs herself with Romeo's knife. The Friar explains the debacle to the Prince who inquires about the death of the two children. The feud ends with their
