She simply applied for certain jobs, worked at those jobs, and then provided a narrative that described her overall working experience.
These documents go as far as laying out the penalties if you violate any of the regulations. The Florida Administrative Code 64-J and Florida Statute Chapter 401 have many similarities. Both the Florida Administrative Code 64-J and Florida Statute Chapter 401 stress Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) licensing. Code 64-J talks about the requirements that agencies must meet in order to be able to have their trucks certified to operate on the streets; also it tells the agencies what are the minimum amount of supplies the trucks must have on both Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support trucks.
The article “On Punishment and Teen Killers” written by Jennifer Jenkins is an article with very weak ethos. The author argues that teens who commit heinous crimes should receive life without the possibility of parole and that the victims rights should be considered. The author is a victim of a crime committed by a teen, her pregnant sister was brutally murdered by a teen gunman who wanted to “see what it felt like to shoot someone” (2). By bringing her sister into the paper the author lowers her credibility because she is emotionally connected to the case and has an obvious biased opinion. This leads to the readers to question her reliability on an unbiased opinion in the article.
Chapters 1-19 In chapter one at Columbine High School, the principal Frank DeAngelis, tells all of his students to be careful, not only because it is a weekend but also because it is prom weekend. Everyone knows that the weekend of prom can be fun but yet dangerous at the same time. In chapter two, Eric Harris, which is a very important person at this school, and in the book, usually had no problems at all getting dates, but this time said otherwise. He was becoming desperate for a date for the weekend activity.
In the article “On Punishment and Teen Killers” by Jennifer Jenkins, the author shares her thoughts on teen killers and their lives after committing crimes. Throughout the article she also goes through the analysis of the punishment. To summarize, Jenkins starts off by sharing a quote that also shares her opinion on how people act on their own whether they’re influenced or not. As the article goes on she includes her personal experience on how a teen killer murdered her family where she also reveals that she is biased. With research that she might’ve done she implied and backed up the idea that crimes aren’t on impulse sometimes.

The frequency and the severity of the crimes has increased so much that there are call for trial of delinquents as adults in extreme cases. The juvenile justice system however has a stronger emphasis on correctional activities and giving the under-age offenders a chance to change and make something useful of their lives. The Crossroads Juvenile Center is a detention facility in New York, it development and operations demonstrate the desire of the juvenile justice system to effects changes in the children admitted to these systems.

In the two years following the Costa Concordia cruise ship disaster, the small VideoRay Pro-4 ROV logged over 45,000 underwater hours (Lorenzi, 2014a). At just 13 pounds and 12-inches long, the tethered Pro 4 was able to penetrate into small, confined underwater spaces to help locate survivors and disaster victims (Lorenzi, 2014a). Also, they ordered that every county in Florida begin manually recounting all ballots that did not indicate a vote for president due to the fact there were enough contested ballots to significantly impact the outcome of the election. Governor George Bush and his running mate, Richard Cheney, in retaliation, filed a request for review to the Supreme Court. They sought an emergency petition to counter the Florida Supreme Court’s decision. The Court granted the writ of certiorari to determine whether the recount procedures adopted by the lower court were consistent with its obligation to avoid arbitrary and disparate treatment of the members of its electorate. The Supreme Court heard this case of December 9, 2000 and focused on two main issues.
Leading up to this project I have been made aware of the details of how unfair and immoral the United States prison system is. In Bryan Stevenson’s book, Just Mercy, he explores the ways that criminal cases are handled, how not every police encounter is fair and legal, and the mistreatment of women and disabled inmates at below standard prisons. Subjects are plentiful because Stevenson does not limit himself to one injustice, instead he works to help as many innocent people as possible. For my research project, I have chosen the subject of wrongful sentencing of juvenile offenders as my topic, because I find that it is a complicated problem that may develop into misguided youths being completely targeted by the law. If juveniles have a mental disability they should not be sentenced to life in prison without parole, especially when it is a non homicidal crime. When children experience neglect and abuse it can take them down a dark path, which often leads to jail. Joe Sullivan's case is an example of this. As a child, Joe suffered from childhood abuse, which included both physical and sexual assault. This abuse took a toll on his mental state and led him to be easily manipulated by older kids.
With every new generation of teenagers or young adults, there always seems to be this negative look towards the youth culture. What really strikes me is that it happens with every new generation. It seems like once a person hits their teenage years they suddenly become “rebels” of society, and for what reason? How do most adults see the younger generation? They are young people who have bad manners, no respect for the elderly, they are real tyrants, they do not stand up when elders walk in, they do not listen to their parents or teachers, they talk in the presence of adults, and they eat gluttonously (Socrates).

For a juvenile to transfer into the adult court system a juvenile must be charged as a youthful offender. Youthful offenders often pose a threat to the community and/ or have committed a violent crime. State legislation has passed youthful offender laws permitting juveniles to be charged as an adult in criminal proceedings. Oklahoma passed the Youthful Offender Act in 1998. To be charged as a youthful offender a juvenile must meet certain requirements and crimes.
