There are few better examples of well thought out Characterization than in Marilyn Chin’s Micro Fiction “The True Story of Mr. and Mrs. Wong”. The story is not a happy tale and Marilyn Chin’s use of indirect characterization to expand Mr. Wong’s character makes it all the more interesting. “One night after long hours at the restaurant and bad gambling bout Mr. Wong came home drunk,” at the very start of the story, the reader can logically deduct the Mr. Wong is not going to be the protagonist of the story.
