The Order, a white supremacist group, did many things to gain international attention and did eventually come to an end. Their mistakes helped america grow as a country and make people aware of the dangers from terrorist organizations. A terrorist organization called The Order was in place during the 1960’s-70’s. However, little did everyone know the crimes would lead back to a lesser known white supremacist organization. The Order needed money to support members, so to get that money they did tons of illegal things. They robbed banks to get money, but also they were found to be making counterfeit bills (Jimmison). Also if someone didn't agree with The order, they would kill and/or robb that person of belongings like cars (Jimmison). Lastly one of their first robberies occured in a town in Washington called Spokane. In this town, The Order robbed a World Wide video store (McClary). Another thing that got International attention was their following of a book called The Turner Diaries. The Turner Diaries was about a fictional terrorist organization, which The Order based their actions on written by William Luther Pierce (Jimmison). This organization overthrew the US government through violent and illegal activity, killing anybody who was jewish or not white. The Order was trying to do just that, they hated the US with a passion. The Order hated the US so much that they were willing to kill and steal in order to complete their goal (McClary). The end of The Order all started with one FBI agent who was just investigating local crimes. Initially the FBI didn't believe this investigator so they told him he had to get a lot of evidence before they could do anything. When this investigator did find all the evidence they needed they started arrest and raids. The biggest most important raid was one on an island to capture Robert Matthews. This raid lasted a long time and ended with Robert Matthews dead (Jimmison). The other members who were captured were all put on trial. When everyone was on trial there were around 300 people who testified against The Order (McClary). Just because most of the members of The Order were sent to jail, doesn't mean that is the end of their history. There are people all across the world who still share the ideology of The Order (Jimmison). Infact one of the most known stories is of a man who blew up a federal building to finish what The Order didn't
