What Is The Case Of Timothy Mcveigh

On April 19, 1995, Timothy Mcveigh committed the most devastating terrorist attack at that time. This terrorist attack is known as the Oklahoma City Bombing which caused panic and chaos all over the United States. Early on that day, a Ryder truck containing a bomb made its way to the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. This building was a United States Federal Government complex located in Oklahoma city, Oklahoma which included a day care center. Half of the building collapsed a couple seconds after the bomb which was located in the the truck denoted. This explosion left 168 people dead and many more injured. The one aspect that all the victims had in common was that they were all innocent civilians affected by the bombing. This act of terrorism seemed so random that it left everyone was asking why and who had committed this horrendous act. Timothy Mcveigh with the help of a former roommate of his, Terry Nichols, constructed a homemade bomb which was implanted in the Ryder truck. In an article titled Shootings at Ruby Ridge, it mentions that “Randy Weaver, an alleged white supremacist, had been targeted by the federal government for selling two illegal sawed-off shotguns to an undercover Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) informant”. Randy Weaver had previous firearm charges in which he failed to appear in court. This lead to the FBI invading his property and Weaver’s family members being killed by the marshals and FBI on August 21,1922. This was controversial standoff because many people argued on the use of force by the federal law enforcement agencies. One of the people that argued this was Timothy Mcveigh.
