The book The Twin is about a girl named Ivy who has to experience a big change; because of the recent death of her mother, her twin sister comes to live with her and her father. The first characteristic that I had seen Iris portray is that she is incredibly Sneaky. Half-way through the book, after arriving at school and staring at her twin while she talks to her friend group, one of Ivy’s best friends comes over and starts up a conversation with her, at the beginning of their conversation, Sophie once again tells Ivy that she thinks that she is acting off, to which Ivy contemplates telling her the concerns that she holds for her sister; “I can’t risk being told I’m insane. I think Iris is trying to imitate me. Trying to be me. She wears my clothes though she has her own. She makes every move and speaks every sentence with careful planning.” ( Preston 217). This further supports Ivy’s point that something suspicious is going on with Iris. For someone who normally dresses to the nines and not only organizes herself in a seemingly perfect way
