The tone and mood enhance the text by adding detail and facts. It also adds a different type of “character” to the story. “I did not weep, and it hurt me that I could not weep. But I was out of tears.”
We have looked at two different sides of the poem, "Annabel Lee". We have heard the gloomy but soothing cry of the poem, by Edgar Allan Poe and the anger and tragic version by "Tiger Army". They both have similar words, but different meanings and effects from the audience. There are many differences of the two, but also a great amount of similarities. From the point of view of Poe and "Army" they both show emotions that they lose someone who they loved.
In “Annabel Lee”, the optimism of the speaker must be deeply dug within the poem in order to find it. Although he does briefly speak of her passing, he tends to focus on her alone by calling her “my darling” or “[...] the beautiful Annabel Lee”. The narrator is very much in love with “the maiden” making it difficult to strictly view this as a sorrowful poem. In “The Raven”, however, the tone and
Mood is a very critical part of all literary works. This is because most authors use mood to show readers how to read a certain scene or story in general. For this reason it is important to be able to identify how the author conveys the mood and to find the mood itself within all aspects of the text. However there are multiple ways that authors may convey the mood, one way may be through the setting. Although multiple texts may convey the mood in the same way there are still differences and similarities that are unique and broad to the stories.

It’s dark and very sad and upsetting. It also wasn’t boring like any other story. I wanted to read more of it and keep reading and reading it. Words that can describe this pasage is dark, sad, and creepy. The poem is about a man mourning his dead wife in the night.
When the reader reads this they can see that there is still some melancholy in her voice, but she is trying to be delighted of the new opportunities that are around the corner. ‘Annabel Lee’ by Edgar Allan Poe is an eminently beautiful yet tragic poem centred around the theme of a forbidden love between two people, and the many obstacles that they overcome in order to be together. At the same time the poem relates back to a man’s undying love for his wife in which even death is unable to hinder. From the beginning of the poem, I realized Poe to be an articulate person who has a beautiful way with words, as he describes the origin of his love story between himself and Annabel Lee. This was shown in Stanza 1 where I identified him to be a kind and doting person, as he continues to talk about a maiden from the kingdom by the sea whom only wished to love and be loved by Poe. As this was written by Poe and shown from

The artwork was frightening, it drew me in before I could start reading the poem, it was very interesting. The artwork felt sad as if a person could get lost in the moment from reading the poem, it was later exposed that the person was lost without her husband. As the widow manifested on the good times that she had with her husband everything surrounding her was dull, it was a non-factor, it was colorless and it was white. The artwork made me think the poem was going to be very depressing but the narrator portrayed a sense of acceptance from the character. The character was eventually going to be ok
