Hello and welcome to the 1st Annual Mythological Seminar and Luncheon at the Crystall Inn Library. Throughout our seminars we will discuss Greek mythology and how it relates to art, cultural values, and how it’s impacts our modern day society. As you know, Greek myths just as any myth, are traditional stories meant to explain how and why things happen. Some stories have maintained their beliefs while others have revolutionized into mere representations and theories of the past. Nevertheless, the Greek myths are a profound part of society and have inspired tradition and customs onto the world. Now, we will continue on the topic of Greek mythology and demonstrate myths are valued in the Greek culture, as well as, other cultures around the world.
The values of Greek myths are evident throughout the Greek culture. Traditions, religions, and landmarks can be located throughout Greece and are specially preserved in museums and have meaning to the culture.
