The Wave is the ‘’warning’’ about background of fascism. This movie shows us that anything is possible in today’s life. Sadly, people are easily manipulated by the other humans. The director of this movie is Dennis Gansel, and it was released May 27th, 2011. The Wave captures the excitement of conformity. This movie is mainly about the project week at school, and the teacher of this class is Mr. Rainer Wegner (Jürgen Vogel). He is the main character, and everything that happens in the project week is through the him. Mr. Wagner’s teaching method is unusual and unique. He starts to prepare his class to learn about autocracy. The study focuses on fascism. Discipline takes place. Everybody starts to wear the white shirts. They name their group The Wave. The Wave gives students something to believe in. But unfortunately, they go too far. Insecure individual like Tim in the movie is no longer outsider anymore. After many bad things that happens in the movie Wegner realizes that things are not going the way as he planned. Eventually only two rational girls provide any opposition to Wegner and classmates. The end of the Movie is expressive and tragic because Tim kills himself when Wegner gives a speech to the class that The Wave project is over and will no longer exist anymore. Mr. Wegner gets arrested and students finally realize that they have gone way too far. I personally liked and enjoyed watching this movie. I have already told my friends to watch The Wave. The movie was deep, and you needed to understand what was going on, and what was the purpose of doing the project in the class. Also, why teacher decided to come up with this unique idea of teaching autocracy. I liked Mr. Wagner’s technique of teaching, but while watching the movie I would have never thought that it would have a such a bad end. From
