Matthew Delmont’s book challenges us to rethink the history of “busing,” Delmont intentionally places in quotation marks to show its importance . Before Brown v. Board of Ed in 1954, riding the bus was only for white children. School integration movement headed up North during the 60’s, and white people did not like this so they made the issue about busing. This allowed white people to stop school integration and use different terms to not sound racist or bigoted. Delmont examines how the media went along with this new racist idea.

During week 12 of class, we were assigned to read three sections of Matthew Delmont's Why Busing Filed. This reading focuses on "busing," which meant that students would be transported to other schools and school districts in order to desegregate schools. This book discusses how "busing" failed due to many white parents opposing it; their values were seen as more important than the rights of black students (Delmont 25). Despite Brown v. Board of Education deeming school segregation unconstitutional in 1954, many schools remained segregated for years. The attention on segregation normally focused on the South.

My inquiry question is can someone's sexual orientation be considered a hate crime in court?
Within the book, class equality was mentioned in multiple spaces, enhance experiences that were previously mentioned about the era. The experiences that Mrs.Parks faced as a Civil Rights activist still occurred to other people which elaborated that those struggles could happen to anyone. Mrs.Park could only afford public housing majority of her time during and after the Bus Boycott. Mrs.Parks and her family were considered in the “heart of the ghetto” because of the amount of fires, trash in the streets, and the low quality of the maintenance they received. This explains how living situations for people of low socioeconomic status were different from higher levels who migrated to the suburbs to get away from the problems of an urbanizing Detroit.
The second book that I decided to read was The Magic School Bus Lost in the Solar System, written by Joanna Cole and illustrated by Bruce Degen. This exciting book is about how a normal school bus trip to the planetarium got turned upside down. When the planetarium was closed, Ms. Frizzle’s class was taken by surprise as they were shot into space to experience the solar system firsthand. On their trip they saw and learned about each planet in the solar system. However, for a section of the trip, they lost their teacher in the solar system and were forced to discover a way to find her.
Theodore "Teddy" Roosevelt was the 26th president of the United States after the assassination of William McKinley. He was born October 27, 1858, in New York and died on January 19, 1919. He is known for being one of the best presidents of the United States, from the building of the Panama Canal to his famous national reforms. Theodore had a different childhood because of his asthma illness, so he spent most of his childhood in his home with his family. Roosevelt had enrolled at Harvard and graduated with highest honors in 1880.
Of course, taking the bus is a bit out of style for most people, but it still remains a way to really get to know America and people. The Unusual Levitt realize that most people prefer other modes of travel by plane, train, or even their own vehicle. The people that he met on the bus were generally people that were struggling to just survive. He plans to compose songs and write books about his journey.
Crime can be defined as an illegal action committed by people and that action is punishable by law. There are many reasons that drive people to commit crime. Some of them would be poverty, depression and other social and mental disorders. For this paper, I chose to write about the Greyhound Bus beheading case. There are many theories that would explain why Vincent Li (the murderer) committed the crime.

After the new economic system based upon capital emerged succeeding the Industrial Revolution, the United States saw a massive prosperity in the early twentieth century only to be demolished by the stock market crash of 1929 also known as Black Tuesday (source). These unsuccessful stock markets were one of the signs that showed that the new system, which depended on an extensive labor force and an open and unregulated market, was not as reliable as previously thought, this period was known as the Depression.
