The years between 500-1189 were “Golden Ages” because in the late Middle Ages there was more farmland, better tools to farm it, meant more food. More food meant that the population grew in Europe! Another reason why this was a Golden Time is because Ghana had an army that could protect traders, they worked hard, but they were safe and protected, and they had plenty to eat. The first reason it could be considered the Golden Era is because there was more farmland, if they had more farmland they would have more food, and if they had more food that would mean they also had more population.
