His book is a memoir of his life which captures his discovery of what it means to be a Godly leader and how to live it out both on and off the field. With his son 's tragic suicide, and media fiascos with players, Tony discovers that listening to God and who he has put in our lives will give him peace and wisdom. Tonys upbringing set him up for a lifetime of possibilities which allowed him to go farther than most. I connected most with how Tony handled his son’s suicide, he handled it in a manner I wish i could and would have.
"The Scottsboro Boys" By Jessica McBirney explains the prejudge towards African-Americans during the mid 1900's. The author separates her ideas by piecing them in different sections of her writing using headings. However, she mentions the main idea of her informative writing throughout the different paragraphs. The main idea of her short writing was that the Scottsboro Boys' trials showed an enormous degree of racial inequality that existed in the United States' criminal justice system and most of the Southern United States. The Scottsboro Boys' trial sparked African-American protestors and activists to push the government to improve the racial equality in justice systems.

These are some things we take for granted, sometimes you really have to sit yourself down and acknowledge how lucky you are. By examining the novels Night and Sold we can see that family is the key to survival, which is important because, often time people who don't have family can't get through life because they don't have a steady support system.

Life, nature, art, and literature are all examples of the need of themes or repeating patterns.
Karen Joy Fowler’s novel We Are All Completely Beside Ourselves is the powerful and captivating story of Rosemary Cooke’s life and her learning how to accept who she has been, who she is, and who she will become. Rosemary, often referred to as Rose in the story, was raised with a chimpanzee for a sister. Obviously, being raised alongside a chimpanzee causes some very significant challenges in Rosemary’s life, which she overcomes throughout the novel. However, the reader does not know that Rose’s sister Fern was a chimpanzee in the beginning of the novel.

This short story starts with a description of a run that was made during a practice but he is recreating it in his mind to make it seem like it was in a game. He is recreating the entire play 15 years later while sitting on the same practice field that it had originally happened. In this story Christian wants to go back to time where everything was a simple as just playing football, being with his girlfriend, and going to school.
