Many people argue whether or not Macbeth is a story of fate or decision. Some of Shakespeare's well-known works are Romeo and Juliet and Hamlet. Macbeth is a story based on how our choices determine our futures because Macbeth was manipulated, power-hungry, and killed others.

The witches convinced him he was supposed to be king. He acted on it, his choices caused his ending. Another piece of evidence states, “From the time Such I account thy love. Thou afeard to be the same in thine own act and valor As thou art in desire? Wouldst thou have that which thou esteem'st the ornament of the life and live a coward in thine own esteem”(Shakespeare, 27). This evidence shows Macbeth wouldn’t have killed Duncan if he weren’t belittled by his wife, he choose to kill. The more terrible decisions he made, the more badly the path he was going down turned. After all the effort Macbeth did, he decided to do more. He remained power-hungry til the end, he killed his friend someone who trusted him, it was a choice he made, and he even attempted to kill a child.
