Theme Of Hate In Romeo And Juliet

157 Words1 Pages
The theme of hate in Romeo and Juliet is expressed in many different ways but mostly around the rivalry of the Montague and Capulet families. Due to the long ongoing feud between the two families they lose the innocent lives of their children and friends. When Tybalt goes to kill Romeo but runs into Mercutio and ends up killing him shows the theme of hate if the two families weren’t fighting then they wouldn’t of ended up killing Mercutio who isn’t even apart of the Montagues or the Capulets so because of this hate in the play they lose the life of a good friend. The same goes for Romeo and Juliet’s death, if the family could've ended the feud then Romeo and Juliet wouldn’t of had to hide their love for each other and wouldn’t of had to die.
