The Hockey Sweater Questions By: Rafi 1. Setting: The setting of this story is in a small town in the province of Quebec, where the year is 1946 and the season is winter. Places this story takes action in include Roch’s home, where he listens to the Canadiens game and is forced to wear his Maple Leafs sweater by his mother. This story also takes place on a hockey rink. Here, Roch is treated differently due to his new Maple Leafs sweater which is unalike to the other Canadiens jerseys. This is because he is the character who is mainly focused on throughout the story. Side characters include Roch’s Mother. Roch’s Mother ordered Roch’s sweater and focused him to wear it. Main Events: One main event in this story is when Roch first received his Maple Leafs sweater. This is when he first felt upset, being forced to wear it by his mother. Another main event is when Roch went to the hockey rink wearing his Maple Leafs sweater. It fits me well and it is comfortable on me. But there is one problem. The sweater you sent me was a Toronto Maple Leafs sweater, and not a Montreal Canadiens jersey which I would have preferred. All of my friends wear Maurice Richard’s number 9, so when they saw me wearing a hated Leafs sweater I was put in a bit of an awkward situation.
